Structured Learning. Workplace Experience. Employment Pathways.
Adam Kok Institute provides learnership, internship and workplace-based learning solutions that help employers develop occupational skills while creating meaningful pathways for young people, unemployed participants and existing employees.
Our programmes combine structured learning with practical workplace exposure, enabling participants to develop the knowledge, practical skills and workplace experience required in their chosen occupations. For employers, these programmes can form part of a broader strategy connecting Skills Development, Employment Equity, B-BBEE, workforce planning and talent development.
Learnership Programmes
Learnerships provide structured learning that combines theoretical or institutional learning with practical workplace experience. Adam Kok Institute can support employers throughout the programme lifecycle, including:
- Learner recruitment and selection
- Learner onboarding and orientation
- Programme administration and training delivery
- Learning materials and learner support
- Workplace-learning coordination
- Portfolio of Evidence management
- Assessment preparation and coordination
- Learner progress monitoring and employer reporting
- Programme completion and close-out
Programmes are implemented according to the requirements of the applicable qualification, funding arrangement and quality-assurance framework.
Internship & Workplace Experience Programmes
We also assist organisations to structure and manage internships and workplace-experience opportunities. Support may include candidate recruitment and screening, workplace placement, induction and workplace readiness, individual development planning, mentor and supervisor support, workplace logbooks, attendance monitoring, performance and progress monitoring, employer engagement, programme administration and completion reporting.
SETA & Funded Programmes
Adam Kok Institute can implement learnerships and workplace-based programmes through employer-funded or externally funded models. Where discretionary grants or other SETA funding opportunities are available, we can support employers with relevant programme planning and administration.
Funding should not be presented as automatic. SETA funding is subject to the applicable SETA's funding windows, eligibility criteria, grant approval, available funding and programme requirements.
Skills Development & B-BBEE
Learnerships, internships and other workplace-based learning interventions can also contribute to an employer's broader B-BBEE Skills Development strategy where they meet the requirements of the applicable B-BBEE framework.
